Borders and Immigration

  • The person / organization concerned should contact the aviation company with the reason for use, then the aviation company should apply to the Border and Immigration Section of the Ministry of Home Affairs with the letter of recommendation from the Civil Aviation Authority; Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and the concerned District Administration Office.
  • The aviation company should apply to the Border and Immigration Section of the Ministry of Home Affairs along with the application with the reason for the rescue flight and the letter of recommendation from the concerned District Administration Office.

     

  • In order to work in Nepal, foreign nationals must obtain a work permit from the Ministry of Home Affairs and obtain a visa accordingly.

        1. The concerned person / organization should contact their respective ministry,

        2. Submit the application along with the letter of recommendation of the Ministry and other necessary documents to the email address of Border and Immigration Section of the Ministry of Home  Affairs (nepalbni@moha.gov.np).

       3. The Ministry of Home Affairs, after conducting necessary study / research / investigation, if it deemed appropriate, will provide work permit to the concerned Ministry.

  1. Copy of recommendation letter from the concerned ministry (including time period) and copy of decision,
​  2. Copy of Visa and passport,
  3. Company Registration / Project Agreement,
  4. Notice/ Agreement regarding Employee Requirement
  5. Other documents according to the nature of the company or organization.
  • Once all the required documents are received, the work permit is obtained within one week of the registration of the application.
  • Information is received through the email address used and the contact number given during the online registration.

  • The concerned organization should contact the Department of Consular Services and the concerned ministry along with the respective program. After receiving the letter of recommendation from those agencies to the Ministry of Home Affairs,  if deemed appropriate on conducting necessary risk analysis and other studies, it will be sent to the Department of Immigration for On Arrival Visa.
